I could only tolerate this on my skin for about 3-4 hours, as my eyes started burning, even though I did not apply this product close to my eyes. I put it on a few hours prior to bedtime and instead of sleeping with it on, I had to wash it off due to my eye irritation. In the morning, my skin did look good and there was no redness. I did get told I looked 26 years younger than I really am when I went to church the next day, only wearing a thick layer of spf 30 sunscreen on my face. I think this product may end up working for me, but with limited use as to avoid irritation.

Okay this moisturizer is EXCELLENT for those with DRY skin. I’m not sure if it will clog pores, but it has a boatload of different oils in it. I have very very greasy skin and still battling pimples decades after puberty so I just put this on my neck while my. mom used it on her face and neck. She LOVES the way it makes her skin feel! Even the next day, she didn’t even want to wash her face because she enjoyed it so much lol. My neck felt extra soft and supple so I kinda get it.
Now any basic moisturizer can be effective for locking in water and giving a smooth feeling texture, but it’s the retinoid in this cream that is the real star. It’s called hydroxypinacolone retinoate, and while studies are still needed, there are initial signs that it could be more effective than retinol and retinaldehyde on wrinkles while being less irritating to the skin!
A lot of people balk at the price but do realize that this is premium UK brand that has won several awards, so while it may not be known to you, it does have great recognition across the pond. This is 2 ounces containing an ingredient that is up- and-coming so there’s that as well.

This cream has been great for my dry skin, especially over the winter months. I’m using it as a nighttime moisturizer, and it’s so hydrating that it is diminishing some of the fine lines on my face. It makes my skin feel deliciously soft. The smell is not bad but just a tad stronger than I’d like in a skincare product, but I believe it all comes from essential oils and not added synthetic fragrances, so I’m okay with that. It hasn’t caused me to breakout or any other irritation to my skin. If I could afford to repurchase this on the regular I probably would!

Overall, I like this cream. It’s a thick night cream that’s good for the winter months and feels hydrating. The ingredients look clean, and I like that it doesn’t have synthetic fragrance added. That said, it does have a scent that’s not my favorite but tolerable. The jar I received was oddly only about 60% full. I have no idea if my particular jar just didn’t get filled up all the way or if they are using jars that are too large for the amount of product they give you. Either way it was disconcerting.
I’ve only used it a couple of times thus far and the first time I used it, I think it migrated to my eyes because when I woke up I could barely open my eyes because they were burning and watering so badly. I had blurry vision for several minutes before they calmed down. The second time I used it, fortunately I woke up fine.
I’m not sure it’s my favorite moisturizer I’ve ever used, especially because for the price– $73 at the time of this review—it’s among the pricier ones I’ve used so I really wanted to love it to justify the cost. Not sure that’s the case.
